At the 2012 Zhuhai airshow in China, the CM-802AKG missile was displayed. Unlike the active radar guidance of the
C-802 Anti-ship missile from which it is derived, this missile is guided by an imaging infrared seeker to strike at surface targets with high precision in all-weather conditions.
The CM-802AKG has been designed to be easily retrofitted to launch platforms, which have been cleared for use with the C-802 missile. These include the JH-7A and the JF-17.
