Russia received its first 6 Su-35S fighter aircraft

The Russian Air Force has received its first 6 Su-35S fighter aircraft from the Sukhoi Corporation. Russia intends to acquire 90 Su-35S, which will form the backbone of the Russian fighter fleet.

The Su-35S specifications are:

  • a height of 5.9 m
  • a maximum payload of 8000 kg on 12 hardpoints
  • an empty weight of 18400 kg
