YJ-62 / C-602 and CM-602G Subsonic Missiles

Developed by China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC), the C-602 Anti-Ship Missile (ASM) is the export variant of the YJ-62 missile. The YJ-62 missile is used by China for coastal defense and aboard the Type 052C destroyer.

The C-602 family of missiles is targeted at long-range attack, supplemented by the C-802 family for medium-range attack and the C-701 family for short-range attack.

In order to comply with regulations of the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR), maximum range has been downgraded to less than 300 km. The CM-602G is another variant designed to strike at ground targets.
