First flight for fourth Russian T-50 stealth fighter

The fourth T-50 or PAK-FA prototype fighter aircraft flew for the first time at the Gagarin factory in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The T-50 fighter had made its first flight ever on January 29, 2010.

The T-50 fighter is a fifth generation, multi-role aircraft with low-observable stealth, super-maneuverability, supercruise and an active phased-array radar. The first 60 production standard aircraft will enter service after 2015 to be preceded by the purchase of 10 evaluation aircraft.

The Novosibirsk aircraft factory (NAPO) will also soon deliver another 10 Su-34 strike aircraft to the Russian Air Force. The first Su-34 squadron was established at the end of 2011. The Su-34 can carry a payload of 8000 kg at a range of up to 4000 km.
